Family is the heart of Dr Rowland’s life and the center of his work as an educator. He and his wife, Alva, live in Atlanta with their three children, who have each grown up surrounded by music, performance, and the Tri-Cities band family. Whether former, current, or future members of the program, his children are a driving force behind his passion for creating transformative musical experiences for young people.
